Support the 2012 constitutional package !

Will you be more inclined to support the 2012 constitutional package after watching this ad ? It just provokes more criticisms. Advocacy advertising is an two-edge sword and it's not easy to handle. When done badly, it would only work against you. Advertising is considered not so credible and using advertising to advocate an issue would easily attract more rejections and cynicism. Our government should learn more from the political advertising in countries like the US and the UK . They have one common characteristic, that is, emotional appeal.

There is no definite right or wrong in almost all political debates. It's only the majority wins. We are educated and tend to be more rational. Yet majority of the general public are less educated and they don't have the time and mind to analyse. They tend to agree to something making them feel good or right. This is how emotional appeal works in this aspect.

Felt pissed off by this series as well as the "act now" commercials. I'm not that stupid to be convinced with these "說教" and unsincere ads. There is one thing that I feel the government has improved this time though -- better production quality.
